Virtual Prospective Solo Parent-to-be Support Group
(Online - Prospective)
Contemplating parenthood, with its many avenues, joys and challenges, can be both empowering and isolating for a person exploring this path on their own. Ours is a vibrant, amazing community who come together for a shared language and experience, and to make connections that will be a source of encouragement, information, support, resources, and connection throughout this journey.
PLEASE NOTE: This group is for anyone who is contemplating solo parenthood, or actively working toward it via fostering, adoption, surrogacy or pregnancy. All approaches, including trying to conceive, are welcome here. IF you are already expecting a baby, please contact Rebecca or check the Solo Parent Support page for that offering.
These groups meet online via Zoom, allowing folks from all over the world to gather, create community and offer support, as they enter the amazing world of solo parenthood. We begin each session with check ins and updates, then spend the session exploring common themes that are arising, sharing resources and perspective, discussing challenges and opportunities unique to the solo parenting experience, and generally supporting each other.
This series meets virtually (via Zoom) for 1 1/2 hours, every other week, for 6 sessions over 3 months.
All groups are facilitated by Rebecca (Plum) Elowen, LM, IBCLC, CST-I.
