Prenatal Midwifery Consultation

Supplement your care with personalized attention from a Licensed Midwife who can answer your questions, share natural remedies and alternatives, and offer support tailored to your individual needs, all in the comfort of your own home.

Prenatal Care may include:
  • Discussion of various tests, procedures and choices that will be coming up in your regular prenatal care, including Gestational Diabetes, Group Beta Strep (GBS), creating a Birth Plan, deciding about Vitamin K and Erythromycin for baby, and more.

  • Exploration of the many challenges of pregnancy, including fears of childbirth or parenting, processing your own childhood and how you might wish to do things differently, discussing changes in your relationship and tools to process that transition, body image and the physical changes of pregnancy and birth, preparing older siblings for a new baby, and other emotional, personal and interpersonal issues.

  • Clinical monitoring of birth parent and baby, including blood pressure, pulse, position of baby in the womb, baby's heart rate, and baby's growth via tracking of uterine height.

Prenatal midwifery care visits usually last 1.5 to 2 hours, with a fee of $165 per visit. *
