Craniosacral therapy is an extremely gentle form of bodywork that is ideal for newborns, and can be offered in the family's home while parents and babies nest into their first few months together. In this work, the practitioner listens to the baby's body, energy and emotions, using very soft touch and gentle holds to invite them to release tension, improve mobility and ease, and process challenges from their time in the womb, birth or early days.

It is a unique form of therapy in that my goal is always to listen deeply and let the baby guide our way. In experiencing this slow, safe, respectful connection, babies are able to release stress and tight holding patterns, process trauma, and find new, more easeful ways of being in their bodies. Many challenges can be addressed in this way, including difficulties with feeding, sleeping or settling, head, body and face shaping that remains asymmetrical after the birth, colic, faux tongue tie, gassiness, reflux, irritability, and so much more.

Initial Visit

In this first visit we will review your pregnancy, birth and postpartum experiences, what you've noticed that brought you to my care, and what you hope for. We will weave the bodywork into the session, offering the baby my touch and support in my arms or on my lap, in their parents arms, and while they eat or sleep. This approach allows them to integrate the changes at their own pace and supported by contact with their parents and familiar spaces and rhythms.

The fee for an Initial Craniosacral Session is $195.
An Initial Visit generally lasts 1-2 hours.
This visit can take place in your home (travel feels do apply*) or my office in San Rafael.

Follow Up Visits

In a follow up session, we will check in on how things have been since our last visit, then proceed with a similar flow of bodywork, integrating the gentle, therapeutic touch into your baby's rhythms of eating, sleeping, and hanging in in your arms or mine.

The fee for Follow Up Sessions is $165.
A Follow Up Session generally lasts 45 - 90 minutes.
This visit can take place in your home (travel feels do apply*) or my office space in San Rafael.

* Travel fees do apply to home visits, and are based on time/distance driven.

This will vary depending on the day and time we choose to meet, and will be calculated at the time of scheduling.
