Expecting & Parenting Solo Parents Group
Solo parenthood, with its many avenues, joys and challenges, can be both empowering and isolating. Ours is a vibrant, amazing community who come together for a shared language and experience, and to make connections that will be a source of encouragement, information, support, resources, and connection throughout this journey.
This group is for anyone who is expecting (via conception, adoption or fostering), or currently parenting a baby or young child. Second-timers are welcome as well!
These groups meet online using Google Hangouts, allowing folks from all over the world to gather, create community and offer support. Using an online venue allows parents to participate from home, reducing the need for childcare and increasing accessibility of support systems and community.
A mini series meets for 1 1/2 hours, every other week, for 2 sessions over 1 month.
A full series meets for 1 1/2 hours, every other week, for 6 sessions over 3 months.
All groups are facilitated by Rebecca (Plum) Elowen, LM, CPM, IBCLC.
